How To Get A Good Deal On Dish Network and DirecTV Satellite TV

So you want satellite TV service. You're probably already
aware of the fact that Dish Network, and DirecTV are the
most popular choices for satellite television service. You
found this article because you are looking for a good deal
on Dish, or DirecTV. Aren't you? I hope so because this
article is going to go into detail about how to get the best
deal possible for satellite TV service including retailer
and vendor promotions, promo codes, and pricing for
Satellite TV equipment.

Let's talk first about the difference between satellite TV
merchants, and retailers, or dealers. While there is only
one Dish Network, and only one DirecTV, you may have noticed
several web sites for each of these merchants, and different
satellite TV deals on most of them. These are retailer
sites. You can think of these retailers as Dish Network, or
DirecTV stores online, and you know what saves you money at
stores. Coupons! In the same way your local grocery store
sends you coupons in the Sunday paper, Dish Network and
DirecTV dealers and retailers offer extra incentives so
you'll shop at their "store".

Though satellite TV retailers don't have paper cut out
coupons, they do offer what are better known as Dish
Network, and DirecTV coupon codes, or promo codes. These
promo codes are good for special promotions directly from
the retailer itself, like free iPod, home theater system,
airline tickets, cash back, online rebates, portable DVD
players, MP3 players, and a plethora of extra offers in
addition to any standard offer provided by Dish Network or
DirecTV itself. Basically, these are a bonus you'll receive
when you buy from the retailers site, and is an extra offer
over the standard DirecTV or Dish Network offers.

Now you may be curious what the standard offers are from
Dish Network and DirecTV. To be honest, it is hard to say
because both merchants change their bottom line offers for
programming for new customers every few months. The long
standing constant is the satellite system offers. Both
merchants have a standard 4 room promotion for which you'll
get four rooms installed for free. You may also want
additional upgrades, such as a DVR or digital video recorder
which lets you pause, rewind, and record up to two TV shows,
or movies at one time. You may even want HDTV service for
your high definition TV. Both DirecTV and Dish Network offer
these receivers for free when you upgrade your programming
package to include DVR or HD service.

Programming packages? You decide. Nobody knows what you like
to watch but you, or your friends and family, but if you're
looking for the cheapest satellite TV programming, it's
always been a safe bet to go with Dish Network. The
important thing here is to get a programming package you are
going to be happy with in the long run. So now you can get
the right satellite TV package, at the right price, and shop
for those extra freebies you'll get from the retailer of
your choice. Just be sure to use the right promo code for
the right retailer, whether ordering online or by phone to
get that extra deal.

Samsung 34 CRT HDTV Reviews

One of the largest manufacturers that makes HDTV's is Samsung, and while most people seem to like a Samsung 34 CRT HDTV, they actually don't make one at 34 inches, but they do make lots of others that are around the same size.

The major advantage of getting a CRT HDTV is that they are much, much cheaper than a plasma or LCD set. CRT stands for cathode ray tube, or as most people know them, an original style boxy TV. While the cathode ray tube has been seriously reduced in size in many of these sets, it's still not as flat as a plasma or LCD set would be.

Samsung markets their CRT-style HDTV's under the product line name SlimFit. An example is the Samsung TX-R3080WH 30" Wide SlimFit HDTV, a 30-inch HDTV. While not super-thin like its plasma and LCD family members, it still provides a HDTV quality picture. The set is also very affordable compared to other sets the same size. Most retailers are selling it for between $600-$700 dollars. This set comes with an aspect ratio of 16:9, and is only 16 inches deep, making it much slimmer than an old fashioned, clunky TV set. It can be used in a spot where you don't have a lot of room to store your TV.

The Samsung TXN3271HF 32" DynaFlat Digital HD-Ready TV is probably the closest thing Samsung sells to a 34 CRT HDTV. This set isn't quite as thin as the above model, and retails for around $800.00. It comes with a 4:3 aspect ratio and a 3-line digital comb filter. The reviews listed for this set are somewhat poor, but it is unknown if the people listing the review just didn't understand the technology they were dealing with. Also, since the shipping weight of this set is over 150 pounds, it may not be able to be shipped to Hawaii, Alaska or Internationally. Keep this in mind if you plan to buy one of these sets over the Internet.

The Samsung 34 CRT HDTV may not be a reality, but Samsung does make many other affordable CRT HDTV's that you can buy. Shop around, read the reviews and you'll make an informed purchase.

How Cable Installers Can Benefit From Factoring Receivables

The cable installation business can be very profitable – if managed properly. Most cable installers operate as subcontractors for large telecommunications or cable companies, such as AT&T, Adelphia or Comcast. This can be a great business model that makes a tidy profit for the cable installer. These companies make great customers and provide constant work and reliable payments.

Although working for large companies can be a great source of revenue, business owners need to get used to the fact that they pay their invoices 30 to 60 days after the work is completed. That means that as an owner, you must cover all payroll and all other business expenses while waiting to be paid. This can be tough, especially for new or growing businesses.

When faced with a cash flow challenge, most installers go to their bank hoping to get some business financing. However, they soon learn that getting a business loan is very hard. As a matter of fact, few loans are ever granted to cable installers. Fortunately, business loans are not always the best solution to this problem. In fact, there is a solution that works better than a loan. It is called factoring.

Factoring receivables can provide you with a reliable and predictable cash flow. It provides you with a substantial advance on your invoices, ensuring that you have funds to pay employees and suppliers. Receivables factoring works as follows:

1. You perform the work and send an invoice to the Cable or Telecommunications company

2. You send a copy of the invoice to the factoring company. The company provides you with an immediate advance. The advance will be between 75% and 85%

3. Once your client pays the invoice, the factoring company will give you with a second advance (the remaining 15% to 25%), less a small service fee

The fee will vary based on how much you invoice per month and can range from 1.5% to 3% per month.

One of the most attractive features of factoring invoices is that it is easy to obtain. Most cable installers will qualify provided that they do business with good customers (such as large cable companies) and are free of problems. Factoring invoices is an ideal solution for both established and new companies and can help propel your business to the next level.

PC Satellite TV Review

PC satellite TV is the new kid on the block in digital satellite TV technology. So just what is so fascinating about being able to watch satellite TV on PC? Even as we discuss, there is an exodus of current viewers who are watching satellite TV channels on television sets to satellite TV on PC. Let us discover more about this PC satellite TV technology and see if the old satellite TV system is obsolete or still relevant.

PC satellite TV runs on a proprietary internet technology. In order to tap into the system and watch satellite TV on PC, you need to install and run a software application. Now, this software is available online and can be downloaded easily from the internet. Once installed and running, you will be able to locate a list of national and international satellite TV channels from Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, India, Japan, Kuwait, Mexico, New Zealand, Netherlands and Norway that you can watch. Of course, these channels include cartoons, movies, music videos and more. This is very similar to satellite TV services run by the service providers which give you hundreds of satellite TV channels.

In terms of program variety, watching satellite TV on PC has an advantage over traditional satellite dish TV systems. The difference here is PC satellite TV uses internet connection, whether dial-up or broadband to receive their feeds. Traditional satellite TV system relies on satellite dish setup and can vary depending on your locality, the range your satellite dish covers and whether it is multi or single satellite dish unit. With PC satellite TV, you get to watch more programs.

Satellite TV system run on a dish system comprising satellite dish, receiver, decoder, etc. Setting up can be a hassle and needs more than one pair of hands. When it is misaligned due to weather or physical knocks, someone has to climb up the roof to adjust it to optimal position to restore the reception. PC satellite TV users vouch for the ease of installation.

What about pricing? Satellite TV services are normally bundled in different TV packages and can vary in the specific program category and prices. But generally, payment is on a monthly basis with occasional promotional discounts for yearly subscriptions. DIY satellite dish TV systems are free but you have to be tech-savvy and familiar with setting up your own satellite TV equipment. A decent satellite dish system can set you back by hundreds to thousands of dollars. PC satellite TV software would cost you roughly $60 – 100.

Satellite TV offers great mobility to people on the move. No matter where you are, traveling on a yacht or car, you can get to enjoy satellite TV programs anytime you want. You are not restricted by the time zone since TV shows and movies are screened round the clock. This is where the satellite dish has an edge over PC satellite TV. While it is true that you can still get internet access while on the move, the exorbitant cost of connection can fry your pocket.

As you can see, each TV system has its merits. Discover the scoop about PC satellite TV at my blog and find out how you can watch satellite TV on PC today.

Sirius Satellite Radio - Bringing Back the Independence

Sirius satellite radio is sometimes compared to cable TV, and in a way that comparison is valid. While cable opened up new channels, new programming, and eventually channels that could go around the censorship imposed by networks, satellite radio has to be received via subscription, and so has independent shows. Like the best of cable channels, many boast no commercials. One of Sirius' favorite advertisements is the claim of "100% commercial free music," which is made possible because of the monthly subscriptions paid by users.

Sirius satellite radio was previously known as CD radio, but changed their name in 1999. The way Sirius works is that there are three satellites in a constant orbit above North America to ensure coverage, and as of this writing Sirius provided a minimum of 69 different channels for music, and another 60 for sports, news, entertainment and other miscellaneous channels. Business wise, they work very much like cable. There are monthly subscriptions, low activation fees, and even a one time 'rate for a lifetime' subscription (around $500 as of this article).

While to some it seems like all these advertisements on television for Sirius Satellite Radio may have come from nowhere, in fact this company is based on a steady and smart business philosophy that has allowed them to grow rapidly. One of the main strategies to attract people to this new technology has been to obtain contractual deals with some big-name entertainers, both in music and in other subjects. For example, Martha Stewart and Lance Armstrong are both signed on Sirius Satellite Radio. One channel caters to the domestic crowd, the other to sports. These two shows bring in two different demographics of people, both of which will hopefully find enough other channels they like to keep re-subscribing.

Big name musicians often have their own shows. Jimmy Buffett, Bruce Springsteen, and the Rolling Stones are just a few of the major examples of stars who have their own shows or specials. In addition to this, it has also created specific niche channels like "Underground Garage" for garage rock, and "Outlaw Country" for alternative country music. This helps bring in the niche groups that may have smaller, but much more devoted, followings.

Of course nothing compared to the historical deal that Howard Stern signed which made headlines and forced his millions of listeners to grab a subscription to continue to listen to his show, something that millions were apparently ready to do. This huge shift has resulted in a giant base of listeners that guarantees that this is not a flash in the pan advance like the 8-track, but is a form of radio entertainment that is around to stay. For those who haven't tried it, Sirius Satellite radio has a wide variety of channels for just about everyone, and it might just be time to see what it has to offer you.

Directv And Dish Network Special Promotional Packages

A great thing about satellite television is that two different companies offer it. This lets the customer have plenty of choices for the right satellite television package. It has become pretty clear to many people that satellite television is a better way to go than cable television. However, choosing between the two satellite television companies is still a major decision. Depending on which company you go with, you'll get access to different channels and different programming options in . You might also pay a different price for the type of service you are after or pay more or less for your necessary equipment. This makes time spent comparing the two companies a valuable exercise that can bring many rewards in the future.

One of the major things you have to be aware of when comparing the two companies is the type of programming packages they each offer and the prices they charge for them. Unfortunately, comparing the prices for each package is not as simple as it might seem because each company includes different things as part of the package prices. For example, Directv might have a higher price per channel for a package, but it includes locals in with the package prices. Dishnetwork charges an extra $5.99 each month to get local channels. You will also find difference in the price charged for access to equipment like digital video recorders, high definition receivers, and other advanced equipment. If you want more than one receiver you will also find a difference in cost. Dishnetwork includes all receiver within one house for free, while Directv levies an extra charge for more than one.

Direct TV Deals has three main programming packages with some variations. Total Choice is the entry-level package with 140 channels including locals and XM satellite radio. Total Choice Xtra is the middle level package with 185 channels. This package is also available in a Plus version that provides DVR service, or a Plus HD version that also provides HD access. Directv's ultimate package is the Total Choice Premier, which has over 250 channels. This package includes a Sports pack with over 30 channels and the HBO, Starz, Cinemax, and Showtime movie packages.

Dish Network has a different package selection. Theirs starts at 100 channels in America's Top 100. From there, it increases dramatically to 200 channels with the Top 200. At the Top 250 level, you get access to all the general entertainment channels possible and at the America's Everything Package level, you also get access to the premium movie channels. Some packages have specials that let you choose a premium movie channel at a lower level, and Dishnetwork's DishDVR Advantage package lets you get DVR access included along with a 200 channel package.

As you can see, each company has a different selection of package sizes and choices, but there are also other differences. High definition television is becoming more popular and you will find an assortment of HDTV channels through either company. Currently Dishnetwork has 31 HDTV channels in a package that can be added on to any other programming package. Directtv has about 11 HDTV channels that are available through Total Choice Plus HD or as an individual add-on. Both companies can get you access to your local channels in high definition where they are available.

The presence of two satellite television companies makes it more difficult to make a decision about which television service provider to use, but it does provide a lot more choices for the customer. We feel that Dishnet gives you sightly more bang for your buck with the current special deals.
